About These Nails

I was in the mood to do a water marble the other day, but I thought I would mix it up a little bit. I played with a few different ideas but I eventually decided to combine the water marble with a color blocking design.

What I Used

1. Julep Susie
2. Julep Carrie
3. Julep Janel
4. Seche Vite
5. Striping Tape
6. Scotch Tape

The base color is Julep Susie and the water marble is done in Carrie and Janel. I was asked, on my last color blocking post, to do a tutorial. If you are interested, I have a tutorial posted on my blog here. It's a simple and fun design. The color blocked water marble was done in a very similar way. After blocking off my nails with the striping tape, I did a regular water marble. Then, I painted just a couple of blocks a solid color. Then, I removed the tape and added a top coat.

This design was so fun to put together and to wear. It's something I've never done before and it's something different to do with a water marble.
