Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Nails

It had been a while since I had done any Cartoon Nail Art and I really wanted to do another design. I couldn't decide what to do, though. AsĀ  a child, one of my husband's favorite cartoons was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It still is, really. Who couldn't love those crazy, pizza-scarfing, butt-kicking reptiles? I thought those guys would make a perfect Cartoon Nail Art design.

What I Used To Create This Mutant Ninja Turtle Nail Design

1. NYC High Line Green
2. Art Club Black
3. Art Club White
4. Seche Vite
5. China Glaze Matte Magic
6. Dotting tools
7. Nail art brushes

I used High Line Green for the turtles' faces and Art Club Black and White for the details. The rest of the colors are custom shades that I mixed. The inspirations are the main characters; Leonardo (middle finger), Michelangelo (pinky), Donatello (ring finger), and Raphael (index finger). On my thumb I did a polka dot "pepperoni pizza" design. After smoothing everything over and speeding up the drying using Seche Vite, I mattified it with Matte Magic to really make it look cartoon-y!

This was so fun to do. I remember watching this cartoon as a kid. Nail art inspired by cartoons from our childhoods is so much fun and brings back so many memories!
