Rubber Ducky Nail Art

Rubber Ducky Nail Art

This is officially my first nail art design of 2013! I am so excited for the new year. I have so many fun designs planned but I am even more excited for those designs that are yet to be planned.

This design is inspired by all the rubber duckies in the world and for good old Ernie from Sesame Street. Did you know that it was over 40 years ago that Ernie captured the worlds attention by singing his "Rubber Duckie" song in September of 1970.

Today is January 3, 2013 and I give you my Nail Art Version of the song "Rubber Duckie". I hope that you enjoy it and that you do this design on your own nails. It is extremely easy to do so don't be worried about messing it up.

About These Rubber Duck Nails

With this design I was debating about adding a bathtub on the thumbnail because we all know that the rubber duck is famous for joining bath time. I decided to make the design a little more simple and didn't add the bathtub. Instead, I added bubbles to each nail. I think that the bubbles bring in the bath theme and are much easier to create. If you decide to add your own bathtub to your rubber ducky design, please share a picture with me. I would love to see it! :)

Oh and you may notice that the products used sidebar section doesn't display an orange polish or a yellow polish. I don't know why but my nail polish collection is missing an orange polish so I had to mix two polishes together to make the color. I do this often when I don't have the right color. The yellow nail polish is a no-name brand that I had left over from way back when. I am surprised that it is still in good enough condition to use. ...I think I am going to go nail polish shopping for a quality yellow, orange, and ....I need a deep dark green.

Love
