The summer of 2012 was a popular time for hot neon colors. Probably more women than ever before wore neon on their nails. I was definitely one of them and still am even though summer isn’t over. I guess I just can’t get enough of these flashy colors! I really love how they make my nails pop.
For this neon nails experience I decided to add a glitter accent nail too. Accent nails are a really easy way to add extra style to a set of nails without very much work.
Tips To Recreate These Hot Neon Pink Nails
Nail Artist Tip #1: With neon colors the trick to really making the neon pop is to first apply a white layer of polish. After the white layer or maybe even two layers of polish dries it is time to apply the neon. On the white the neon will truly shine and won’t lose its neonisity…(just made up a word).
Nail Artist Tip #2: For the accent nail you can apply a base coat and then sprinkle on a glitter color of your choice. But to get an even better look you should add a layer of polish that matches the glitter and then sprinkle on the glitter of your choice. By doing this you will ensure that the entire nail is the same color…even if the glitter is not equal all over the nail.
