How To Do Gelish Nails


Step 1: Push Back Cuticles Using Orange Wood Stick.

Step 2: Perfect The Cuticle.

Step 4: Shape The Natural Nail Using A File.

Step 5: Prepare The Natural Nail By Removing The Shine With A Buffer.

Step 6: Remove excess dust or particles using a lint free pad moist with Gelish Cleanse. Wipe The Nail.

Step 7: Apply Gelish pH Bond From The Cuticle To The Free Edge.

Step 8: Apply A Very Thin Layer of Gelish Foundation To The Nail.

Step 9: Cure Fingers In Lamp For 1 Minute.

Step 10: Apply A Very Thin Coat Of Gelish Color To The Nails.

Step 11: Cure Fingers In Lamp From 2 – 3 Minutes.

Step 12: Apply A Second Coat Of Color To The Nails.

Step 12: Cure Fingers For 2 – 3 Minutes.

Step 14: Apply Gelish Top It Off To The Nails.

Step 15: Cure Fingers For 2 Minutes.

Step 16: Remove Sticky Residue Using Gelish Cleanse On A Lint Free Pad. Wipe The Nails.

    is it necessary to use the top coat? I didnt buy the top coat or cleanser. I have lamp, pH primer, foundation and a color.

    I have all the stuff to do the gelish nails myself. I have a problem and not sure why it is happening. The gel chips or comes completely off the nail in a day or two. what in the world am i doing wrong when i am applying the get. I am not a professional. Please help

      Yvonne,

      I am not 100% sure. It is kind of hard to say without being there and seeing what you are doing. It could be the following:

      1. The gel you are using may be old and need replacing.

      2. The lamp could be weak.

      3. The bulbs in the lamp may need replacing.

      4. If the layers are too thick it can chip easily.

      Most likely it is #4. Let me know if this helps.

        Probably too thick, but I also had a problem with peeling. I was letting the polish touch the skin. If it actually touches the skin, you can just peel it off. You have to make sure you have/leave/see space on the nail.

        I hope this helps. It’s so frustrating to spend the time and money for the system not to Work!
