My 4th of July Nails
With Independence Day upon us, we're all seeing a lot of patriotic themed manicures everywhere. There are so many variations and styles that there are near endless possibilities, as long as you use that iconic color combination.
I thought I would do something just a little bit different with this manicure. Instead of focusing entirely on the American flag, I wanted to include the festivities of the 4th of July. Mainly, everyone's favorite thing about the holiday, the fireworks.
Products I Used
For the fireworks nails, I used Pure Ice Private Show as the base. With the black base and the bright glitters, it looks like a starry night sky right off the bat. For the actual fireworks, I just used a nail art brush to paint them on. I used OPI Danke Shiny Red, Sally Hansen Silver Sweep, and Julep Ally. Those are also the colors I used for the American flag accent nail. The flag was the most time consuming part, purely because taping off the stripes took a little time and patience. For the "stars" I just used a tiny dotting tool and Silver Sweep again. I topped the flag with China Glaze Fairy Dust so that it was just as sparkly as the rest of the manicure.
This is a super festive manicure and I loved wearing it. It made me more and more excited for Independence Day celebrations! I can't wait to see more patriotic
holiday nails
