I bought all the CND shellac gel and i’m not to busy with my spa at home, and i’m concern that if i’m not using the shellac gel will go bad. Thanks

I purchased a lot of colors of CND a year an half ago. I have a few colors still left, how long do the bottles last for?

      Jenny,

A big factor in how long the bottles last are how they were stored and used. For example, if while you were using them the caps were often left unscrewed then their life expectancy decreases. Also, if they are stored in an area that receive no light then their life expectancy increases. Where did you store your bottles?

Hi, I am looking for an answer to the same question! I have always kept the bottle tightly capped when not in use and stored in a dark closet when not in use as well. How long can I expect a bottle to be usable?

          Heather,

The exact time is kind of unknown but here is what nail technicians have told us. If you keep them tightly closed and stored in a dark closet they can last up to a year and sometimes longer. Although this is the case most nail technicians cannot keep their Shellac for that long because they use it up too fast.

Shellac is kind of like nail polish where it thickens with time, sunlight, and exposure to air.

Our opinion would be to try to use it up within 6 – 8 months. We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
