Get ready to see a few famous athletes in OPI’s 2013 ads. These new ads will be launched in the December issues of Health, Essence, Bon Appétit, O (Oprah’s Magazine), Lucky, and Real Simple. What women athletes will be featured in OPI’s new 2013 ads?

OPI Gelcolor’s Women Athletes

OPI filmed for two weeks in Los Angeles with Gabrielle Douglas, Danica Patrick, Serena Williams and Misty May-Treanor. The type of footage that was taken was unique to the nail polish world. Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI’s Executive Vice President and Artistic Director, stated “I didn’t want them to be in a glam shot in a studio. I really wanted to show my audience what these athletes endure.” Each of the athletes will be featured participating in their sport. Douglas will be seen on a gymnastic trampoline; Danica is filmed in her racecar; Misty is featured taking some serves with a volleyball; and Serena is playing tennis. All of these athletes are doing these things with Gelcolor which highlights how durable and strong Gelcolor is.
