My Perfect Rock Star Nails

These nails are perfect for a night out to a rock concert or to match a dark sexy outfit! I created these nails to go to the Black Sabbath gig so they would match my makeup and outfit.

I put together this dark and sparkly manicure inspired by colours the band brings to my mind, thus I used a black base, dark purple and fuchsia glitter with a french tip style glitter gradient. The end result was a nebula looking galaxy-esque effect and made me think of the night sky.

I really love the fuchsia glitter polish, Different Dimension A Love Hue, because it's colour is beautiful and the holographic hex glitter is to die for. Different Dimension custom blend polishes can be found on esty from Missi Barry's Etsy store here.

I hope you enjoy the macro pictures below.

Tutorial

1. Apply Base coat and growth stimulater to protect your nails and keep them healthy.
2. Apply 2 coats of black polish over all your nails except the accent nail.
3. Apply 3 coats of purple polish over accent nail.
4. Add 4 dark purple rhinestones surrounding a light purple rhinestone on the accent nail.
5. Apply a dark purple holographic polish on 2/3 of the nails towards the tip.
6. Apply fuchsia glitter polish over 1/3 of the nails towards the tip.
7. Apply lighter fuchsia pink holographic glitter at the tip of the nails.
8. Apply a fast drying top coat to all nails.
9. Done!

The rhinestones look like bubbles…I love the look. And…I’m SO jealous…I would love to see Ozzy. I grew up listening to Black Sabbath when I was a teenager back in the 70’s and 80’s…I’m telling my age lol. RIP Ronnie James Dio. Thanks for the post. It brought back some great memories.

I’m glad you liked the nails and rhinestones remind me of bubbles when you put a top coat over them and they get round and shiny looking. I love a lot of 70s and 80s and even 60s music and I wish I grew up then! I just have to enjoy them via DVDs of concerts and stuff for the early years. Yeah, it was so awesome to see Ozzy and Black Sabbath together. I’ve seen Ozzy solo band and Ronnie James Dio with Black Sabbath when they called themselves “Heaven & Hell” (which is a mind-blowingly amazing album). At least there are so many great recordings of Dio’s voice so we can still enjoy him and he will live on forever. I have some pictures of the gig I went to on my blog with the makeup and OOTD if you want to check it out. http://tinyurl.com/ohuz6lc
