About My Glitter Disco Ball Nails

I have a pretty large collection of loose glitter that I've gotten at craft stores. It comes in handy when I want to do a flashy, glittery manicure. (Sometimes, glitter nail polish just doesn't cut it.) Anyway, I was looking through my glitter drawer and noticed a green glitter that nearly perfectly matches a nail polish that I have and love, Essie Mojito Madness. And off I went.

I painted all of my nails with Mojito Madness. I put a slightly thicker second coat on my thumb and, while it was still wet, coated it in the green glitter. I lightly patted it down and used a soft-bristled paintbrush to brush off the excess.

On my ring finger, I used holographic hex glitter to make a disco ball type of design. I just dipped the end of a toothpick into topcoat to make it tacky and used that to individually place the glitter. I used the same process to make the single glitter stripes on my other nails.

I topped everything off with two coats of Seche Vite to secure the glitter and smooth everything out.
